One of the dopest things about social media is the ability to stay connected with family and friends. Many people believe platforms like Facebook often tier families apart (such as marriages). Hell, in all honesty, I’ve even heard of sons not wanting to be associated with their own mothers on account of their social media behavior. I’m sure you know that I can go on and on about the so-called negative side of social media (Facebook). But I prefer to talk about something positive.
As you may know, we here at Akronhiphop/Mecca Media Edutainment paint positive images of our people (African Americans) every day. We use our websites, television, and various social media outlets to help paint those “positive” images. Recently we captured Akron’s business owner Carmine Robinson as he reunites with his long lost son (well in all honesty, a son that he hasn’t seen in many years). He told us that Facebook didn’t hurt his family it “helped” his. With that being said please check out the video posted below this article. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
