Getting To Know Rockie Draper and Flipp The Script Productions

When we think about "stage plays" as a community, the thought of Tyler Perry comes to mind. As we all know Tyler Perry is considered the modern God Father of black stage plays. We all know about his rise in the business. But when it comes to the next generation of play writers Akron native Raquel "Rockie" Draper is considered one of the up and coming.

The good thing about Rockie and her company (Flipp The Script Productions) is...she has brought her whole production, vision and movement back to Akron. After conditioning her skills as a writer, actor and producer in Los Angeles and Detroit over 10 years-she decided to promote the art of theater back home in her own community. Personally, I believe why not Akron?. As we all know the city is filled with multi-talented people.

Her latest stage play is called "Your Life Still Matters". It will take place on May 6th at 6pm at The House Of  Prayer For All People Church located at 69 S. Balch st. Akron Ohio 44302. Ticket are only $15.00. She's also looking for any talented people that would like to take part in any of her up and coming productions. For more information call (313) 312-4288.
