Kelly Rowland Uncut and Raw.

Many of us are familiar with Destiny Child's claim to fame. But for the sake of this article and the hard work ofKelly Rowland I will refrain from using the leaders name. Since the groups demise we have seen Michelle do her gospel thing and Kelly put it down with some of Hip Hop's hottest artist. But this years single titledMotivation featuring Lil Wayne is her biggest solo record to date. The song is smothered with sexy undertones and a very seductive beat. The video showcases a even sexier version of the song itself. With a healthy rotation at urban radio Motivation has become the number one song of the summer. People like Trey Songz and Busta Rhymes are just a few to remix or be featured on a remixed version of the song. With all the hype surrounding this record it's no doubt that her third CD titled Here I am is her most anticipated to date.

One of the earlier tracks released about a year ago is titled Commander. Now, many of her core fans missed this joint because it has that international vibe to it. Produced by David Guetta, Commander is that new style of dance track complete with auto-tune. That's right the song has an uptempo international vibe to it and in-regards to the video it looks like something Janet Jackson would've done. The video has a lot of special efx and hot dance routines. Maybe her core R&B audience might've missed this song but with over 24 million hits on you-tube somebody likes it.
On the song titled I'm that chick, she brags about how fine and incredible she is in comparison to the average chick. During the song she sings using again the ever so popular auto-tune. With the uptempo production and simple lyrics, this song comes off like another attempt of a girl anthem.

Another track titled Lay it on me featuring new comerBig Sean. The production is another uptempo dance track. Her voice on the song is perfect for pop radio. Big Sean's verse was suppose to lend some kind of street cred to this joint but falls short. It seems to me that the theme of this CD is to simplyget on the floor and dance. I really can't feel that street vibe that I get with her smash hit Motivation. It's like she opt for a more pop feel. But really can you blame her? Most of her urban support don't support at all. They just buy the bootleg copy and enjoy. Remember this is music business and an artists have to make the music that the people are legitimately buying. So with that being said, I can't be mad.
Another song on the CD is titledAll of the night and it's a sexy uptempo slow jam. Now I know you're asking what's an uptempo slow jam! Well it's when you have an uptempo dance track and the singer sings slowly about love or sex. People like Aaliyah and Ciara were and is pros when it comes to this style. Other hot joints on the project like Keep it between us and Feelin me right now will make urban radio and her core fans happy. So if you like growth in an artist and their music then Kelly Rowland new CD title Here I am is for you. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
