One of the things that has happened over the past few years is the "new found importance" of inclusion. The definition of the word inclusion is defined as follows: the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those who have physical or mental disabilities and members of other minority groups. Here in our beloved city of Akron Ohio, one would believe that inclusion is very important and is being practiced by the "city" itself.
Recently, I've noticed a few of my Facebook "friends" complaining about this year's Loc 3 concert line up. People are noticing the absence of bands that would generate an interest from the African American community. We here at Mecca Media Entertainment is "BLAkron's" authentic voice echoing the cry's and concerns by our community. So when our community doesn't feel "included" it is our responsibility as Akron's black media to share these concerns. Below is the list (so far) for this year's concert series taking place at the Loc.
