Black Health:The Post Traumatic Slave Diet


It seems like every time I turn around my people/community are taking part in some sort of trendy fad. Be it an internet challenge, fashion or hairstyles our community are more than willing to participate.

The most surprising trend/fad that's happening through-out black America is the mental awareness of what we're putting in our bodies for nourishment. Many of us are becoming "vegans" or vegetarians while some are trying to cut back on all of the so-called "soul food" that we were raised on.

Over the years, many of us have gotten way too comfortable with fast food and or processed foods. So much so that diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease have become the norm among our communities.

I'm glad to see us as a people waking up to these harmful norms. They say, if you know better you'd do better. With that in mind, please watch the video posted below. You'll be blown away, if you're not in the know. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
