Watching this year's NBA Playoffs made me realize a few things. It made me think about that feeling that the entire region of north eastern Ohio felt last year. No matter what side of the tracks that you come from, people from all cultures became one. The slogan last year was fitting "All In". This year the slogan is "Defend The Land". Which is what the Cavaliers intend to do.
As far as this year, I can feel some-what the same energy building the we all witnessed last year. I personally have talked to many people wearing Cavs T-shirts and their vibe is excited but subdued. Meaning that "we need a championship" feeling and thirst has been quenched. Now the vibe is simply "Defend The Land" or let's do it again.
We all are witnessing something great. And that greatness is simple as a man making his word bond. So while we're enjoying this post season dominance, try not to forget that there's nothing more powerful than a man keeping his word. Ultimately, Lebron's decision to come back to deliver a championship to the city is the real reason for the season. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
