Since 1991 2 Live Music located at 1286 V. Odom blvd. have been representing independent business owners in a positive way. Many of us know how important and instrumental 2 Live Music have been in our community for years. From putting local artists in a position to sell their music to showing the community how to be business minded without loosing their cultural awareness. Owners Vic and Norma are what I like to call Akron royalty. They and their business should be seen as a positive example of loyalty, love and perseverance.
When I use the term loyalty, I'm talking about how Vic and Norma have been not only dedicated to each other but also to the city as well. Understanding how a marriage can stand the test of time is the perfect example of what type of perseverance is needed in the business world. As Norma puts it, 2 Live music had to diversify and expand it's services to be relevant in today's marketplace. Now if you're not paying close attention to how the business of business has similarities to the "business" of relating to your spouse. Then you're missing the "real" point.
As a business, 2 live music was able to transcend the boundaries of just selling music to offering the community more services such as: a bill pay center, money order services, cell-phone payments, The Ohio Lottery, clothing apparel and carry out lunch specials. For myself, to see how many businesses have come and gone-while 2 Live Music is still pushing strong reminds me of the couple that owns the place... Big ups!! to Vic and Norma for representing what being dedicated to an idea, city and someone is all about.
