The DALE Program presents it's First Base Initiative. The First Base Initiative is a positive outreach program that takes kids from our communities and simply expose them to the game of baseball.
They understand that our children heavily favor games like basketball and football. One of the main reasons for that favoritism is simply the influence that those games have world wide.
To wanna be like your favorite sports superstar is every little boys fantasy. Since the emergence of Akron's own Lebron James, obtaining success as a basketball star seems more realistic to our youth. Which is why The DALE Program is exposing our youth to the game of baseball.
In-short, if what they say is true about the natural
god given athletic abilities that our youth have, then exposing them to an alternative to basketball and football could increase their possible success. Which simply means, getting to some of that "guaranteed" unlimited multi-million dollars that Major League Baseball seems to be giving away every season.
