Every Now and then I'm reminded how good it is to still be some-what in the music business. To me, I feel like it's only a few "super stars" that call rap music their profession. Since we've been heading to our computers and smartphones and not the stores for our music, It's kind of hard to really see who's selling units.
Most people will say, if a song gets millions of views that should translate into making money. But to think YouTube views equals the same as units sold then one would really be fouling one's self.
To me, the sure fire way to tell who's reigning supreme as a "super star" recording artists, all you have to do is sit back and watch how the world seems to stop when that "super star" releases new music. Which is exactly what happened when Jay-Z released has latest project titled 4:44.
