Every Black History Month, we here at Mecca Media Entertainment celebrate by inviting business associates and others to The Annual Ace & Dee’s Black History Extravaganza. The celebration is designed to give acknowledgment to the many people that were featured on our website/platform.

During this event, we give out what we call The Akronhiphop.com Award. The award is presented to a category in which appeared somehow/someway on our website. Categories like, Barber of the Year and Motivator of the Year which was won (this year) by JT the Barber and J. Black from GoalGetta Academy.  The before mentioned winners are just a sample of the type of acknowledgments that goes on during the event.

Black History Extravaganza

Extravaganza was held on Monday, February the 20th at the main library in downtown Akron. We decided to record the presentation “vlog style” so that we could share it via social media. It is our hope that people (not only from our community) get to see it but we also hope that other cities get to see how “dope” BLAKron Ohio really is.

Many people get our “AkronHipHop.com Award” confused with an “Akron Award”. We understand the confusion but to get an AkronHipHop.com Award one had to have appeared some kind of way ( interviewed, featured in an advertisement, or a written article) on our website/platform. So if you don’t see yourself or your favorite independently “black “owned business featured during our program/ceremony in the video posted below, please give us a call at (330)937-2632 and well make sure your business is getting the attention it deserves.
