Akron's rap scene is always a driving force to the city's unique urban style and culture. When looking at just a few of Akron's independent rap artists (and their music videos) one could only conclude that next level success is just around the corner.
Personally speaking next level success to me is defined as "signed" to a major record label. There's quite a few that I believe (here in our beloved city) can really do big things on that next level.
One of those artists/rappers is none other than "flame spitter" Flames-OhGod. In-short this brotha has been putting in work since before he was a teenager. That right, I first met Flames (back down the wheel of time) when he was just a boy. Even at elementary school status, there was no legitimate competition in the city at all. As a result, he would win all of the talent shows.
Now as an adult, he runs and operates his own record label called Strickly Street Music Group. As an artist, he has released an incredible amount of music via his label. Now with some more music just hitting the streets, Flames-OhGod continues to push the creative envelope. It is his unique ability to keep traditional rap/Hip-Hop values as a foundation as he transcends the barriers of sounds and trends. Please check out his latest music video posted below.
