One of Akron's best kept secrets is no longer a secret. The Thai-Soul Fusion Grill is making some noise through-out Akron's African American Community. Even though, the restaurant haven't had it's grand opening (which is scheduled for September 3rd) people are still finding their way to 2198 Roming Rd.
With the help of social media and some great tasting food Chef Tawon J. Burton is doing it the right way. Earlier this year I had the pleasure interviewing the chef about black owned businesses and his new venture. Needless to say, that I enjoyed our conversation and I'm enjoying seeing him reaching his goal of bring some new flavor to the city. Since the name implies a thai/soul fusion, one have to be excited about the different yet unique flavors
Soul Rolls
that this spot has to offer. One of those "flavors"are the very popular Soul Rolls. That'a right, an egg roll with soul food inside. Of-course there's much more to choose from. So Give Chef Burton a call at (330) 541-5001 to place an order or just stop by and grab something to go. Please check out my conversation/interview with the chef below. Until next time, have some fun and get something done. -Hiram Akeem
