Don't Let The Possibility Of Rain Dampen Your Spirits

Peaches enjoying the culture at the African Festival in Akron

When I got up this morning I was kinda of excited about the 2017 African Feast. Of-course as some of you may know, this celebration of the African American experience happens every year. It's now being held annually at the Loc 3 ample theater in downtown Akron. The event/celebration is a combined three day affair complete with good food and cultural vendors.

After I realized that it looked like rain in the forecast I decided to go to the festival kind of early-so that I could promote all of the what's what at the event. I also was hoping to talk to Debra Calhoun who is just one of the many dedicated people that makes this event happen every year.

When I caught up to her she assured us that the weather and the event was gonna be just fine. So she began to tell us about the national recording artists that's going to be at the event tonight and tomorrow. Tonight's event will feature the R&B group/band "Slave". There is no-cost to see them "rock the loc" tonight. But tomorrow night will cost a few to enjoy the R&B group "Midnight Star".
Please check out my interview/conversation with

Debra below. And please don't let the possibility of rain put a damper on this weekend of Afron-centric events for you and yours. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
