here at AkronHipHop.com will continue to help showcase and promote the people and their ventures that are making a difference in our communities. One of those people goes by the name of Brandon R. Scarborough. His Organization is called Dreams Academy which means Developing Responsible Extraordinary African American Males for Society. This movement is one of the best things going for our young boys ages 10-15 years old. Operating out of the new youth facility located at 1650 Diagonal Road (The House Of The Lord) Brandon influence the community one young man at a time. Understanding how the streets are taking our boys and turning them into undesireable Brandon's movement teaches them how to be a positive representive and addition to the community.
The program is an 8 week outreach program that

focus on etiquette, finances and career development. Sometimes they will focus on politics and law. With that being, said the mayor of Akron, Daniel Horrigan stopped by to educate the class regarding just that.
Someone mentioned to me....why don't the "white media" ever show up and promote the positive things that happens in our community. My answer
was.....The raciest power structure that governs this nation daily only show us in the light that makes them comfortable. Also to show us doing positive things on a consistent basis would ultimately change the negative narrative that they show everyday on the news.
