Early Youth Football On Akron's West-Side

Coach Sean Smith

When we talk about football as a culture, no other place and organization exemplify the lifestyle better than (Akron-Youth) Titans Football. With championships already on the mantle, one would wonder why start the program so early? Talking to coach Sean Smith, he was able to school me on what exactly they are doing at Perkins Pool so soon.

After talking to coach Smith, I was able to understand that the football season hasn't really started for youth football as a whole. To put it in simple terms, coach Smith said that Titans "youth" Football is offering a football camp for anyone whose interested to participate. That's right, any parent or person that believe that they or their child need that extra conditioning and training prior to the season-this would be the perfect program for you.

For me, to be at Perkins Pool in "May" talking about football with coach Smith just defines the true meaning of "community builder". Coach Smith is just one of the many "African American" men that sacrifice his time, resources and efforts to help build better communities. Personally speaking, he is living proof that Hip-Hop offers more than what mainstream media would want you to believe.

For the record here's the announcement for the program. Akron Titans Youth Football Camp Starts May 22 2017 5:30-7:30 Perkins Pool. Ages 6-12. Now a member of the Ohio Gridiron Football League* Stow* Cuyahoga Falls* Mogadore* Copley* Revere* Highland* Field* The road to the "Super Bowl" begins today at the Pool! Who's House? The cost is only $30.00. Check out my quick interview with coach Smith to get more information.
Until the next time, have some fun and get something done.
