One of the things that I like about my work as it pertains to "black media" is the amount of intelligent people that I get to interview. I believe that sitting with intelligent people should expand ones mindset. Well, here in Akron Ohio our people comes in many different styles and belief systems. Personally I enjoy talking with anybody that's trying to do something positive in the community. Here at AkronHipHop.com we make know apologies about putting the focus on our community. I personally see that an effort to combat all the negative imagery (via mainstream media ) that our people and community receives is paramount.
This time around we showcase one of our sponsors Carmine Robinson. For those that don't know, Carmine is the owner of one the most popular barbershops in town. One of the things that I like about this brother is his "multi dimensional mindset". Simply put, his ability to create and have multiple streams of income is a great thing. If we as a people can try to adapt this mindset then I believe the possibility of independent economics and entrepreneurial-ism can be a reality in our community.
