Jay Z & Beyonc'e

This is the time of the year, where almost everything "big" is happening. The "big" that I am talking about is the summertime. As most of you know that summertime is the perfect time for most major artists to hit the road in support of their latest music. In the music industry the words"hit the road" simply means to go on tour.
Personally, I love this time of the year because not only current chart toppers are hitting the roads but older acts as well. Now when I say older I don't necessarily mean older in age either. I simply mean any recording artists from any era has a greater opportunity to go on tour or to have a few show dates booked during this time of the year. This summer's biggest tour is by the industry's biggest couple and stars Jay Z and Beyonce.
The name of the tour is called On The Run. As you might of guest it, the tour and show will be a spectacle to see. By checking out the promotional trailer/video for the tour you can tell there will be no short cuts taken on this one. When I watched the trailer, I couldn't help but notice all the super star actors involved. Many people still believe that the promotional trailer is promoting an up coming feature film instead of the up coming On The Run tour. Which clearly illustrates how detailed and top notched the production of the trailer truly is.
Personally speaking, one would believe that maybe the pairing of these two artists on the same show/bill together may not work. Think about Beyonce's core audience or the people that usually show up to support her concerts....( women, young girls and gay men and women ). Now think about the core audience that usually comes out to support a Jay Z concert....( Men, young boys and some females ). When just thinking about their respective markets, one would think that maybe this tour isn't a good idea. But when you think about the term "cross-over" as it relates in the music business These two artists is the true definition of the term. In the music industry cross-over simply means to sell records or to gain an interest outside of your so-called demographic. In other terms it means that people that like Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Kiss or Metallica will still listen to or rock out to Jay Z or Beyonce. Which is why I believe this will be one of the biggest and most successful tours in recent years. The Tour will kick off in Miami and will ultimately end on Aug. 6th in California. Check out below to see if your city will be a stop for the two biggest stars on the road and "On The Run" this summer. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
