Every year about this time we here at Mecca Media Entertainment get very excited about the holy month of Ramadan. It's the time of year were people of the Islamic faith focus on what makes them Muslims or believers. During this month Muslims from all over the world fast. For those that don't know Muslims don't eat or drink during the day light hours. That's right, no water or food all day long! Also Muslims fast from any sexual activities at the same time. The fasting is set in place so that the Muslim can focus on prayer and reading the entire Holy Quran. Now I know some of ya'll are saying what, the whole book! yes the entire book in one month. I like to think that if you can control something that your nature and body needs like food, water and sex then things like crack addiction and alcoholism is noting to break. Myself and many others see this month as a holiday. So every night we celebrate with a small feast and share how we are making it through.
