As always, we get the chance to help promote positive images of our people everyday. Recently we got a visit from what our Char Johnson calls a "national treasure". Akron native Billy Ray Thunder is what one would call a "Black Cowboy". Now when I say that about him, I'm simply referring to the way that he represents the culture and lifestyle.
During a sit down with our Char Johnson, he told her that growing up in Akron was a good experience. As a young man, he enlisted in the armed forces. Later, he was introduced to bull riding during a visit to a show while trying to impress a young lady. As a result, he fell badly off the bull and fell for with the culture.
Talking with Billy Ray Thunder myself, I realized how in-depth he was regarding the whole "Native Black American" so-called aboriginal movement/heritage. Below check out our vibe session with the black cowboy named Billy Ray Thunder. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
