Happy New Year from all of us here at Mecca Media Entertainment. We are kicking this year off with a new found excitement and energy. With that being said this month's AkronHipHop's Rapper Of The Month is lyricists and battle rapper Peoplez330. As an emcee Peoplez330 is more than your average local rapper hailing from our beloved city of Akron Ohio. His sound has that major label feel to it by way of the east-coast. Some have said that his flow and style is reminiscent of Nipsey Hustle, J.Cole and Nas.
As a battle rapper Peoplez has been putting in work for some time now. During our conversation he told me that "when he battles a person, he not only tries to tear them down but he also believes in building them up with some positive thought filled lyrics". As a song writer, he knows what it takes to transcend the battlefield and create something marketable for the radio.
In-closing, talking to Peoplez was a breath of fresh air. His intelligence, mindset and artistry was simply superior than most rappers coming from the same background as he did. Here in Akron Ohio, I've been fortunate enough to have seen all of the best rappers Akron has had to offer. From legendary rappers like Jackie J Taylor, Ampichino, Chino-Nino, King Locust, Baby Bugsy, Flames Oh-God to countless freestyle emcees like Jaz Naz T, Big Ra, CAP C/ Ramdom X & Billy Chemicals with consistency, my man Peoplez330 will soon be mentioned with those greats.
