Two Black Lives Matter Murals In Akron Ohio

Councilwoman Tara M. Samples

Many cities around the country are making a statement when it comes to the black lives matter movement. Some have said that they're not really with the organization but can seriously relate to the catch phrase that says it all "Black Lives Matter". With that being said you can add our beloved city to that ever growing list of forward thinking cities that have dedicating streets/pavement to the cause.

Akron Councilwoman Tara M. Samples is one of those forward thinking individuals that really understands the plight and struggles of the American "black man". As a councilwoman she's always working hard for her entire 5th ward community. When it comes to the unfair treatment and the repeated police brutality that's being afflicted upon African American men she has always been a consistent voice for change.

N. Howard St. Akron Ohio
Councilwoman Samples is heading up the "black lives matter" street mural project here in Akron Ohio (specifically her very own 5th ward). With her reach and influence some of the city's best artists came out and participated in the project. The first mural is located at the very bottom of N. Howard St. (right before the hill starts/coming from downtown). The other mural will be located on E. Market St. At this time, I would like to thank councilwoman Tara M. Samples and all of the local artists that participated. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
