Celebrating Akron's LGBT Community w/Billy Fit

As always my brotha Billy Fit always find the most interesting places for our people to get out and experience. This time around we hit up The Black Family Pride Weekend Event. The event celebrates Akron's  "Black" LGBT Community in the form of a festival complete with vendors and entertainment.

This year's event took place at Hardesty Park located in Fairlawn/west Akron. The thing that I noticed first was the energy that was present. People were interacting and flat out having fun. One brotha told me that he was excited that a local barbershop decided to come out and provide haircuts. His point was (being a gay man) barbershops can be uncomfortable and insensitive.

All in all, my brotha Billy Fit will continue to "Explore Akron" and think outside the box in an effort to enlighten us with what's really going on in our beloved city.
