Earlier this week on the Today Show in- conjunction with a team led by Expedition Unknown‘s Josh Gates presented a reconstruction of what King Tut’s mother would have looked like in her full royal regalia. As a result, BLAkron Ohio and the rest of black America lost it's collective minds. Below we have a statement written by Akron resident and Mecca Media representative Pershawn Williams. His comments were right on time.
When people refer to ancient Egypt, they appear black because of the dark pigmentation in their DNA. The white community thinks that Nefertiti was white and not black. Scientifically speaking, Nefertiti is black due to her proven dark pigmentation in her DNA. Also, due to the environment in Egypt and constantly being in a hotter climate makes the person darker, hence Nefertiti is indeed black. In my opinion this is not an accurate description of black history.
