Bay Area Rapper Yukmouth Connects With Consciousness

Bay Area Rapper: Yukmouth
One of the doppest things about pushing and working this Akronhiphop thing is the amount of new music that we get sent almost everyday. As some of you may know I have had the pleasure of being in the music game from retail to "we sell".  As a result, the amount of knowledge that I was able to obtain from the game (as a whole) is immeasurable.

With that being said I can feel the resurgence of what some have called conscious hip-hop. But what is even more off the hook about this current flock of knowledgeable mcs is...quite a few of them are real scholars. Meaning, they all tour the country educating our people about our African heritage, culture and everything in between.

Twin brothers, Red Pill and Blue Pill collectively
Red Pill & Blue Pill
known as The Pillahs can be seen practically on all social media outlets. Their message/teachings also can be heard and seen in their music videos. Another Rapper/scholar goes by the name of Shaka Ahmose. This brother's appearance clearly illustrates what's written on the tomb walls of Kemit (Egypt). Most people say that his lyrical style puts you in the mind of Tupac.

Young Pharaoh
Scholar/rapper Young Pharaoh have been putting in work as a rapper and a teacher simultaneously. His teachings which can be seen via his you-tube page can be controversial as well as insightful. His latest joint features Bay area rap legend Yukmouth. The name of the joint is titled All I Had Was Hope. Below you'll find a video from The Pillahs, Shaka Ahmsoe, Young Pharaoh and of-course a few others. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
