One of the things I like most about this type of media work is the unique individuals that I come in contact with on the daily. I was taught that when you're in the media business particularly "black media" I have a responsibility to the community to let "our" voices and stories be told from "our" point of view. With that being said, I love it when I get the chance to interview the people who has something "good to say"like my brotha J. Black.

For those that don't know, J. Black (whose real name is Jamar Blackmon) is the city's

premier motivational speaker. His brand is simple yet effective. The simple part of what he does is to make himself accessible. The effective part is his ability to educate and entertain the mindset of the masses.
