I was checking out Facebook and other social media outlets and came across something that took me by surprise. It was a promotional spot advertising a listening party for a new CD. The fact that it was a listening party made me think that this rapper knows what it takes to make it happen. Then I realized that it was Akron rapper/producer/CEO KC the Legend.
For the few that don't know KC have been putting in work and rapping on a professional level for years. So much so that this new project titled A Legend Never Dies will be his 12th CD release to-date. When it comes to keeping the music coming KC operates his own studio. As the owner and engineer of the studio, he regards producing and writing (for other artists) as his fountain of youth.
The self proclaimed oldest person that's doing it on this level (in the city) KC not only keeps thing consistent in the studio, he's still active in-regards to live shows. As he put's it, "these young cats respects his longevity and expertise that he brings to the table". He credits his knowledge of the game (as well as digital sales) as his keys to success. As it stands he have been doing it for years and don't seems to be stopping anytime soon. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
