Was the 20th year anniversary of The Million March a black-out?

The Minister and Snoop Doggy Dogg

While I was at the 20th year anniversary/gathering of the Million Man March, I was hearing that media coverage for this event was going to be void at best. While I was standing at attention listening to every word that The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan was speaking, I couldn't help but notice the lone helicopter floating over-head. It wasn't until I got back on the bus (to head back home) that I realized that what was being said about the media coverage or the lack there of. I began to realize that the chatter might be true. I took to social media to see what people was saying about the event and true enough, even on Face-book the lack of media coverage was the topic of the day.
The sad part about the so-called lack of media coverage was all the foolishness that was being posted on social media outlets. One post in particular was saying that The Minister was spreading hate and tried to ignite the people to do negative things to white Americans. That's when I thought...The fix is in. My thoughts of the lack of media coverage began to take on conspiracy theories of epic proportions. So I had to put the smart phone down and take a deep breath to calm my thoughts. With a more clear mind, I began to think that with all of the pictures that I took while attending the event I could help paint a more positive (true) portrait of what really happened.
Remember all of these thoughts was occurring while on my way back home. So at that time it was so early that no picture of any kind appeared on my timeline. It was then that I noticed almost everybody on the bus began to upload pictures by the dozens. And as God would have it, about an hour later-my timeline began to reflect that positive portrait of what really took place in D.C on this very special day.
Yesterday I was on Face-book and I noticed a post by a young lady saying how much she appreciated all of the pics from the 10/10/15 flooding her timeline. A responding comment asked the question. How are you getting pictures and posts from the event-all I see is homecoming pics?. The young lady replied " I think you need to re-evaluate your face-book friends.
In-closing, If we as a people are trying to get justice why do you think that the powers that be will showcase our up-rising. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad thought on and often said "black man do for your self". Well with the advent of the internet and social media we don't need their media coverage. As with 10/10/15 we got it covered from here on. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
