Miley Cyrus "bust it wide open"

Everyone is talking about Miley Cyrus. From her once family friendly image as Hanna Montana to her infamous 2013 VMA performance. Myself, I think that the way the world is reacting to this still young entertainer is proof that the music industry still has it's fire power. In years past, we as fans of a very trendy music industry have been controlled and dictated by the promotional and marketing departments of record companies. This is the bread and butter of the industry as a whole. To make you become a fan of what the label is selling or pushing this quarter is really what it's all about.
In the case of Miley Cyrus the situation is know different. A once kid or teenage sensation Miley was a Disney staple that helped the entertainment empire continue it's reign as the premier location for child entertainment. As well as doing her acting thing she also released music that was geared and promoted to the same fan-base that tuned in to her television show. Now with Disney in her past Miley tries to shed her once squeaky clean image and become the respected talent that she deserves.
If you take the time and do your home work you'd know that all of these so-called recent behavior issues that she's been having is nothing new. When it comes to the whole "twerking" thing, she was doing that over a year ago. Not only in her own room via you-tube but at rap concerts as well. Many people fail to realize that stars can be fans as well. And at the same time can be influenced. But something tells me that even before the twerking video posted on you-tube she was already into rap music and it's culture. Remember Disney is a power-house and it doesn't profit them to let their stars be seen in any other light that is not conducive to capitalistic gain. Again, what we are seeing with Miley is nothing different than Drake, Brittney Spears and others. Miley is walking through the same pathway that transforms childhood stars into adult super-stars just ask Justin Timberlake.
Her new music and project titled Bangerz is filled with club joints as well as that edgy pop sound that this current generation of pop fans like. Her affiliation with the rap scene has helped in-regards to her new image and ultimately her cross-over appeal. If you didn't know that Hanna Montana was dead Miley's performance at the 2013 VMA's laid her to rest. After that everyone has been tweeting, blogging and talking about her. Now this is what I'm talking about when it comes to the music industry still having it's swagger. Every time I turn around I see Miley or as some like to call her Molly Cyrus. Her first single from Bangerz is titled We Can't Stop. To be honest I think that it's the perfect first single and video that showcases her rebellious nature and new found or maybe her real style. The song has that edgy pop vibe (which is perfect in-regards to helping some of her young fans with the transition). Along with those pop type joints, she has manage to do hip hop remixes with some of the game hottest stars like Kanye West and French Montana. Her latest single titled Wrecking ball, again has that edgy pop feel to it. But the video is on a whole another level. In-short you see Miley in the nude swinging on a wrecking ball, go figure. When you have people like Cher and Shinead O' Conner talking about you in the press, than your promotional campaign is truly working. One of the hottest songs that playing on urban radio stations features Miley singing and rapping. The name of the song is titled J's on my feet or something like that. Anyway the song is by the producer of her albumMike Will which also features Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J. All in all if Miley keeps up her cross-over abilities maybe she can be a winner like MJ. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
