Rick Ross" God Forgives- I Don't "

When it comes to putting in work Rick Ross should be the poster child for it. Every since he broke into the game with his hit single title Hustling he's been doing just that. As the CEO of his own record company, (Maybach  Music Group) Ross has signed and is responsible for artists like : Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley and R&B singer Omarion. As an artist Ross has been promoting his brand of hip hop music even in between CD releases. That's right, Ross doesn't wait until his parent company Def Jam decides to put out his music. Ross fill the streets with mix-tape releases complete with a few music videos to boot. This is the perfect way to stay relevant in a very trendy market. I think that the way Ross market himself and (his brand) is the direct result that helps takes his efforts to very successful heights
Well the very much anticipated CD from the boss himself titled God forgives-I don't is finally in the streets. And let me tell you that is all everybody is talking about. This time around Ross get some artistic help from some of the biggest names in the game. The first joint that I thought was nice is titled Sixteen. The song has that souternplayalistic vibe to it- which is perfect for the best sothern lyricist Andre 3000 to do his thing. The song is simply about not having enough time during the song to try to tell one's life story. To put it simply 3000 show up and showed out, which makes this record kinda song like an Outkast joint featuring Rick Ross not the other way around.
Another song that is burning up the streets and the web is titled 3 Kings which features Dr. Dre and Jay Z. Now just having Hova on the joint would have been hot enough but the legendary producer Dr. Dre takes this braggadocios yet laid back track to the next level. The three rappers spits so much rhymes about money, cars and women that it would make the average male listener feel inadequate. Trust me I liked the song but I did feel like a bum after listening to it (LOL) .
I think that one of my favorite songs  on the enire CD is titled 911. Now when I first read the title I thought that the song was going to be about September 11th. I thought OK, Ross is about to go deep on this one. But when I heard the songs subject matter I realize that he was only talking about his lifestyle and living it in his 911 Mercedes Benz. I soon remembered that this was Rick Ross and the closes thing that your going to receive from this self proclaimed Hustler is hustle. "My bad".
North eastern Ohio native Stalley shows his lyrical skills on the song titled Ten Jesus Pieces. Now when I heard his verse I said to my self that Stalley came correct in-regards to how he tackled the subject matter. I wont tell it but when you hear Ross's verse compared to Stalleys this should have been his record. Other noticeable such as Diced Pineapples featuring Drake and Wale, Maybach 4 featuring Ne-Yo, Bag of money with T-Pain and Meek Mill and Touch-n You with Usher all has that 1970's vibe to it. Now don't get me wrong I like this vibe and the entire CD is a must have. Until the next time have some fun and get something done.
