Trappy Music

Space Age Music Group
Every now and then I come across something that I consider a diamond in the ruff. For this metaphor a diamond is likened to a record company and it's artists. The ruff is a metaphor for the amount of non quality music and artists that's running rapid in the market-place. Radio companies like Radio One and Clear Channel along with television power-house Viacom (B.E.T, M.TV AND VH1) fill the American airwaves with the same music from the same artists and record companies everyday. Some might suggest that the ruff can be a metaphor for an artists and his brand trying to get noticed among every other independent effort out there.
Unlike other independent efforts, Priest Williams and his record company Space Age Music Group are pushing the creative envelope with organic music and street laced rhymes creating a style of their own that they call Trappy Music. Trappy is a term that the collective define as: flashy and loud. In-short it's more than drugs It's about the image that has become synonymous with the game as a whole. Moreover, you don't have to sell drugs to have a flashy car and clothes, all you have to do is have that Trappy mentality and work-to get yours. As long as you stay relevant then you're Trappy.
Space Age Music Group is an Akron Ohio based record company headed by CEO/producer/manager and rapper Priest Mr. One Williams. As a musician/producer Mr. One has been producing and making music since a very young age. Raised as a saxophone player Mr. One is not your average rap producer. His musical understanding allows him to create relevant tracks with the integrity of a traditional musician. Over the years the CEO has been to many cities like New York, Kansas City and Miami promoting his brand and music. As a rapper he relies on his delivery to get his point across. Mr. One knows in order to reach the streets you have to spit the game that they can relate to. With that being said, the street reporting, game spitting pimp will ultimately become one of the game hottest bosses.
Remember Mr. One is not just one of the rappers on the label, he is the CEO and boss. So that means he have a few artists in the wing ready to fly. The first out the gate is gangsta rapper Extra Grams. Just by his name you know he put the T in Trappy. When you hear Extra Gram's music, you can hear the echos of gangsta rap's glorious past. Artists like: Spice 1 Gucci Maine and E40 can be felt when listening to his music. A remake of E-40's street anthem Captain Save'em mixed with a little southern swag is proof that Extra Grams is a force to be reckoned  with. Another artist on the label goes by the name of Dre D. and if you like your rap music from an east coast perspective then Dre D. is for you.
The first release from Space Age Music Group is titled Raining Bricks. The CD takes you on a musical journey through the gritty sometimes violent streets of black America. Songs like: Parking Lot Pimping, Ak Town, Trap Swagg and the first single and video titled Tall Money will have you waiting for more. Speaking of more, If you can't get enough of that Trappy style of hip hop then go to Amazon.com and pick up Mr. One solo effort titled Trap Swagg Music. And keep your ears to the street for the up and coming release of Extra Gram's solo effort titled Got Grams? Remember you can get all of these Trappy releases from iTunes, Amazon.com and in Akron Ohio at 2 Live Music. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
