Every now and then I find something on the web that make me go Dam! Now I know many people have strained relationships with their parents, especially young men and their fathers. But in the case of Corey Gunz and his father Peter Gunz it's all love. When I watch these two react to each other I can see the respect that a child should have for their father and the admiration a father should have for his son. Peter's son Corey is not your average hood dude. I mean you can tell that both of them grew up in the hood ( Bronx NY) but in the hood, fathers come around worst than welfare checks and food stamps. Not trying to discredit any body's street cred but the streets is a lot less intimidating when you have someone to put you up on game. Which is why I feel Corey Gunz is the next big thing. Check this out-his father is a recording artist and still can rumble with the best of them. As a child when you have success as your guide, mentor and father more than likely it's gonna rub off.

  Check these brothers out weekly on their reality show titled The Son Of A Gun which airs on MTV. On the show we follow Corey Gunz road to success. Of-course the show have your typical reality TV vibe, but it gives the viewer or would be rapper the behind the sceen things that would ultimately be conducive to a successful career. I love to see how father Peter Gunz covers his son from all the bullsh-t. Like I said earlier when you have someone to put you up on game, then the streets seems to be a lot less intimidating. Well the same can be said for the music industry as a whole. Look, some of us are not as fortunate as Corey Gunz- (when it comes to having a consistent father figure) but we can learn a lot from watching the way these two act towards each other and maybe in the future we will have more fathers participating.
