BEREA, Ohio — The spotlight on Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders grew even brighter during the second day of training camp, with a familiar figure drawing plenty of attention from the sidelines.
Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders made the trip to Berea to support his son as the Browns continued their highly anticipated quarterback competition. Although "Coach Prime" declined to speak with reporters, his presence sent a clear message of support as he watched practice, spent time with members of Cleveland's coaching staff, and observed Shedeur's continued development.
Shedeur Sanders received significant reps with the first-team offense during Thursday's practice, another indication that the rookie is earning opportunities in what remains an open battle for the starting quarterback job.
