One of the dopest things about what I do here at Akronhiphop.com is, I get the chance to talk with some of the most interesting, talented, and driven people from our beloved city. Almost every summer we (Akronhiphop.com) like to produce a small but very interesting video/interview that we like to call Cypher Sundays. As you may have guessed it, this video/interview always post on Sunday morning during the summer months.

This time around, we had a great conversation filled with inspiration, knowledge, and a little of BLAkron Ohio history as told by our quest/Akron native, singer, actor, and songwriter James Blake Carrington. For those that don’t know Carrington also known as J.B. has been putting in work for years. Starting out as the lead singer of Akron Ohio’s own version of New Edition (J.B & The Sensations) it was only a matter of that he would take his talents to a much more entertainment “friendly” environment (New York).
As a result of his hard work, dedication, talents and his ultimate decision to move to the east coast J.B. has had and still having success and opportunities. With that being said please check out my vibe session with the brotha in the video posted below this article. In closing, it’s always a great thing when one of ours follows their dreams and amass a great level of success. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
