Recently, concerned people from Akron's troubled west-side (the Copley Road Mr. Pantry area) joined forces with Akron's concerned artists to paint a mural hoping to establish a new reality.
Diana Autry was blessed with the vision to have the people of the community to revisualize and rethink regarding the trouble area. As most of you may know, the area is often considered the nucleus for urban violence and crime.
When the mission became a movement, people was talking about the mural in real time and social media. Personally speaking I believe that social media played an incredible part and was helpful in regards to getting the word out.
At this time we here at AkronhipHop/Mecca Media would like to thank every artists, The owner of Mr.Pantry, and everyone that took the time to answer a few question on camera for us. Please check out the videos posted below. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
