Understanding the word growth is to truly understand what life is all about. The word "evolution" is defined as the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during their history on earth. Well, I like to believe BLAkron Ohio's number one internet radio station (EarKandy Radio) is a living breathing organism/business and it to is growing and evolving.
Owner and CEO Britteny Miller is at the forefront of the station's evolutionary progress. What started out as a radio station that focused on modern rap music and it's fundational demographic or what I like to simply call "the record buying public that supports this current brand of rap music" is now adding social political topics and local news to it's style and brand. Recently, Brittany and her team did a public

service announcement that they call a "Kandy Alert" which is their version of the Amber Alert. The thing I like about the Kandy Alert is that it seems to focus on "our" children or the children that reside in our communities. EarKandy Radio also did a press conference with the mother of the alleged missing child. Members of the black press were all invited to help get the word out. In-closing, I gotta give a shout out to Britteny and her team for a job well done.
