In all honesty, it's truly possible to stereotype a person based on the way they look. Myself personally have assumed that a person with dreadlocks had a true knowledge of self and their people. Likewise I have had highly intelligent conversations about the plight of our people with someone that looked like a "thug".
When it comes to my brotha Kofi Khemet, he is the complete truth when it comes to knowing about our true selves. Brother Khemet is committed to educating our people about our glorious past. Some of the things that he does is writing, producing and publishing his own books.
His current release is a book geared for our youth to get them familiar with our local superstar athletes. The book also has that activity kind of vibe to it as well.
