R.Kelly Drops Black Panties

When we think about R.Kelly we should be thinking about how much of a genius he is. Over the years R.Kelly have single handily shaped the landscape of modern R&B. Now he is back to return to the forefront of that good old Blazin Hip Hop and R&B. His latest effort is titled Black Panties and it is filled with everything that you have come to expect from an R.Kelly CD. The first single off the project is titled My Story. This song is currently burning up the charts and air waves as well. The track has that mid to slow tempo vibe to it. And on the song Kelly sings about some of the ups and down that he has endured over the years. And of-course he often refers to almost every trendy slang term. Some have said that he should represent himself and his music in a more adult fashion. I've even heard people say that his dress code is what the youngsters are wearing. Myself, I see nothing wrong with his musical direction this time around. In-short people like R.Kelly has made his fortune by making relevant music that radio can spin all day everyday.
On another song off the project titled F-ck Yall, we find Kelly spitting fire lyrics about all the haters that thought he couldn't  get back on. Now when he say on, he means back on his grind. In other words, he simply mean successful. The track has that "Bandz a make her dance" sample in the back ground. This is just one example of what I mean by remaining relevant in the market-place. Another song is titled Genius. Now this is a slow jam that everyone can relate to, The music is perfect for relaxing with that special someone as with all of R.Kelly slow joints.
Other songs on the project is full of what we call Blazin Hip Hop and R&B. At times we find R.Kelly singing and rapping with that every so popular "auto-tune". Again, by using "auto-tune" Kelly cements his relevancy in the market-place. Almost everyone in the music game is still using the auto-tune program. Now sooner (more than later) auto-tune will becoming a thing of the past. But Kelly capitalizes on simple trends (such as auto-tune) to insure that his records sells.
All in all Kelly has a new project coming out Dec 10th titled Black Panties. So all of you R.Kelly fans need to get out and support this musical genius. For the younger generation that may have missed what R.Kelly was really about, you need only to pick up this new CD. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
