| Maino drops a new song and video about the drug Mollly |
As you may or may not know, I enjoy new music. And in the music industry Tuesday's have been the historical day for new music to hit the shelves. Here at ill-board.com we would like to continue this long running tradition by showcasing some of the hottest new music to hit the street within the past week. In detail, we will bring to light not so much new releases but the music that we think should see the light of day. More-over the music that has the streets buzzin or the Internet going nuts will most likely be featured every week.
Always remember here at ill-board.com we like to promote some of the illest artists and their brand. So with that being said, at times you will not see the so-called hottest rappers being featured but more of the ill acts that doesn't necessarily see the light of day.
Two of this weeks hot joints all have the same thing in common. Yep-you guest it, that ever so popular drug and alcohol theme. The first song is by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Krazie Bone titled: Get Down. Now when I first heard the song I thought wow, this guy's voice is always on point. The production of the song is geared to make you want to hit the dance floor and groove the night away. During the song Krazie sings about enjoying his herds and favorite adult beverages while saying out the way. If you're from around the way you know staying out the way simply means staying out the streets and trouble. In the video you see Krazie really enjoying life with a few friends singing and riding around town (in a stretch SUV limousine). To me just by riding in a limo (doing his thing) shows responsibility not only to his fans but to whoever see the video. This shows that Krazie Bone is still thinking on an other level when it comes to the images that he put out there.

Now in 2013 Maino takes the same production from the Scarface song and did a song about his so-called love interest that goes by the name Molly. For those that don't know Molly is another form of the popular so-called sex drug Ecstasy. So for the sake of understanding his metaphor during the song I thought you needed to know what this Molly thing was all about. Now during the video that's where all the creative juices stop. If you like seeing a whole bunch of video chicks getting high in a hotel room with just a few dudes than this video is for you.
Last but not least is a song and video by the legendary rap group Public Enemy titled: Everything. During the song lead rapper Chuck D lyrically paints a picture that takes the listener to a place where keeping up with the Jones-es is counterproductive. In short, while we sometimes get caught up with what we don't have we often forget about the things that we do have. During the video Chuck D's lyrics are taken to the next level. The director of the video decided to use everyday people lip syncing Chuck's lyrics. I thought, now this is creative. I also thought that sometimes if you want a particular something you have to go to that particular place or source to get. Well I've been wanting to see a little more creativeness and positive images in our music. And with groups like Public Enemy still putting out new material I guest the source have always been here. I just simply needed reminding. Don't forget to pick up their new project titled: The Evil Empire Of Everything. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
