It’s Always Sunny and 75 Degrees at Vigeo Gardens located downtown Akron, OH 526 South Main Street in the old B.F. Goodrich Building. Akronhiphop.com had the pleasure of interviewing Brooke Paul the Operations Manager in training and she shared with us the breakdown and process of their Hydroponics Garden. Vigeo Gardens is growing produce in the manner of horticulture and a subset of hydroculture which involves growing plants without soil. This process uses mineral nutrient solutions in an aqueous (water) solvent.
The most incredible thing about this business to me is that their garden is inside a building and they are producing and packaging the product in one place. We have experienced multiple shortages of food and supplies during this recent pandemic. Vigeo Gardens illustrates the need for resourceful businesses in our communities. I’m looking forward to ‘My Black is Beautiful’ entrepreneurs opening up a Hydroponic Garden, but until this garden happens in our community check out the video below.
