Here at Akronhiphop.com we believe that the African American experience here in our beloved city of BLAkron Ohio should be told and showcased by those who truly understand the culture. Often times we are misunderstood by various different media outlets. The reporters and sometimes journalists depict our culture and people as negative, ignorant, and unprofessional. We know and understand that the culture is just as unique as its people.
The same can be said about our music. R&B music is definitely apart of our unique culture. Here in Akron Ohio, that musical expression has legendary roots. From Howard Hewitt to James Imgram Akron has done its thing on the national stage.
