For those that don't know, we here at Akronhiphop.com have been promoting Akron's local music/rap scene for many years. As a result, we feel that we have helped the culture with a much-needed outlet over the years, From television shows, open mic nights to The Reporter Newspaper, we have positioned Akron's local rap movement consistently.
With that being said we have made a few changes to our monthly Akron Rap Chart. It is our mission to paint positive images of our people every day and we feel that we can no longer just showcase Akron's brand of hip-hop music alone. Now we will feature a more national "independent" chart that we ultimately help promote our mission and movement.
