During these uncertain times, we as a community
(here in BLAkron Ohio) need to be united more than ever. Some people believe that great opportunities come out of a need that needs to be fulfilled. Well since the nationwide lockdown independently owned "black businesses" have been forced to alter some of their daily functions or closed their doors completely.
The word that seems to confuse many people is the word "essential". The dictionary defines the word as (absolutely necessary or extremely important). What may seem extremely important to one culture may differ to the next. Which brings me to the business of "Black Hair" and "Black" beauty supply stores. In our unique culture here in the wilderness of North America the "black" woman's hair is big business. Many feel as if it's an essential business and should be open during these times.
