For those that don't know, we here at AkronHipHop.com has revised the term "Independence Day". We have changed it to reflect those people and their descendants that literally build this country with their own blood, sweat, and tears. With that being said we are honoring BLAkron  Ohio's "independent hip-hop music" scene. We feel that our city's rappers and the record labels that represent them should be celebrated. As you may or may not know, we have a monthly local rap chart that features the city's top ten hottest rap videos. This is just an ongoing way to showcase and promote the city's local rappers. 

Freestyle Champ

Recently I ran into my brotha Pee aka PZO  Bandz. Pee is one of the city's underground MC's who have been rapping since before we started putting local rappers on television which was 1998-99. He used to come into the record shop and freestyle for days. Ultimately, we started to take rappers like Pee who would hang out at the shop and put them on TV in a rap battle format. Pee would often be the champ after every show. In closing. Pee is still putting it down as you will see in the video posted below. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
