Recently, we connected with Akron native and author Venus
Chandler. Venus (who currently resides on the west coast) has decided to have a
book signing/celebration( in honor of her new book titled A Silent Scream) in our beloved city that I like to call BLAkron Ohio.
The event will take place on August 3rd at 11am -2pm at Edger’s
Restaurant which is located at 530 Nome Ave on Akron’s west side. Books and
Brunch is the grand theme of the event complete with a chicken and waffles buffet, a shirt of choice, raffle entry and 2 free mimosas. That’s right, you get all of
that for showing your support by purchasing a VIP ticket for only $35.00.General
admission/tickets are only $15.00 which includes 2 free mimosas. I thought that
the event sounds too good to be true that I had to get Venus herself on Skype
for a quick interview about the event. With that being said please check out
