Supporting BLAkron with 7th Floor Clothing

Bro.Frank Miller
Often times we are told to support independently owned “black businesses” without thought. Personally speaking, I understand that a nation of people can’t "rise" know higher than its women’s wisdom and of course its independent economic practices. When you make a general purchase from a general place, you display the behavior of someone who “generally” doesn’t care about community economics.

The best way to combat this “general” mindset is to make a personal pledge to support a local
Dollar Plus & More
independently owned “black” business once a month. One brotha and business owner Frank Miller (of 7th Floor Clothing) knows and understands this practice very well. Last year, he told me about Akron’s only “black-owned” dollar store located at 1465 Aster Ave. For those that don’t know about this dope store, it’s called Dollar Plus and More. Give them a call at (234) 471-3210.

This is why I always tell people to “support the people who support the community”. My brotha Frank Miller just recently did a community give away. For those that don’t know. His 7th Floor Clothing Company is BLAkron Ohio’s leading Fashion influencer. Pertaining to last week’s "community giveaway", he said that God put it on his heart to do something instantaneously. So while at his shop he put together his giveaway merchandise and headed to his store located in Akron’s Northside Market Place to bless the community.

In closing, if we as a community can take a page out of Frank’s book and support or even suggest another African American business, I believe that the future of our collective mindset regarding community economics will be ok. With that being said please check out our vibe session at last week’s community giveaway in the video posted below. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.
