One thing you could say about the state of Akron Hip-Hop as a culture is....it truly don't stop. The same can be said about the spirit of the once very popular Jr. high school known as Thornton Jr. High. A couple of old-school players that goes by the names of Ricky Callaway and Darnell Mitchell are keeping the Thornton Jr. High School spirit alive. One of the ways that they're keeping the spirit alive is by promoting a Thornton Jr. High School Alumni Cabernet & Bash.

This years bash will be held at the St. Thomas Banquet Hall located at 555 Cleveland-Massillon Rd. The event will begin at 6pm to 11pm. You can reserve a table for $50.00. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. One of the great things about this event is not only the legendary DJ Timbo will be spinning some of the best old schools songs but also they will have a live funk band in the building as well.
